Ryder Cup
This two day event follows the format of the Ryder Cup. Participants are divided into two teams. Teams alternate as "visiting" team and "home" team.
First day: The visiting captain organizes his team into twosomes. The home-standing captain then formulates a competing slate of twosomes from his team. Paired teams then compete in a nine hole, alternate shot event.
Upon completion of the alternate shot event, new pairings are formulated and the newly paired teams compete in a nine hole scramble.
First day scoring: Four points are awarded for each match within each event. A point is awarded to the winner of the first three holes. A second point is awarded to the winner of the second three holes, and a third point is awarded to the winner of the third three holes. Finally, a point is awarded to the winner of the nine hole match. Ties result in a half point being awarded to each team.
Second day: Visiting team captain submits a roster of individual team members who will participate in 18 hole, head-to-head, match play events. The home-standing captain then submits a slate of competing players, and individual matches are played. Second day scoring: Three points then are awarded per match. A point is awarded to the winner of the front nine, the winner of the back nine, and the match. Ties result in a half point being awarded to each competitor.
