Club Championship
The Club Championship is contested for via a two-day, 36 hole, medal-play event. The participant posting the lowest gross score for the event becomes the 2009 Club Champion.Prizes: Each participant is assigned to one of three flights - based upon handicap. Prizes are awarded to the participants in each flight who post the lowest gross score and lowest net score.
Cup Matches
Officers' Cups are contested for during a one-day, 18 hole, medal-play event.
Each participant is assigned to one of three flights, based on handicap. Members with a handicap of 0-9 are assigned to the first flight. The member posting the lowest gross score in this flight is awarded the President's Cup.
Members with a handicap of 10-18 are assigned to the second flight. The member posting the lowest gross score in this flight is awarded the Vice President's Cup.
Members with a handicap above 18 are assigned to the third flight. The member posting the lowest gross score in this flight is awarded the Treasurer's Cup.
Prizes: Prizes are awarded to the participants in each flight who post the lowest gross and lowest net scores.
Match Play Championship
The Club's Match Play Championship is contested via a single elimination, single bracket, five round tournament. The Match Play Champion is the member who wins all five of his or her head-to-head matches.
A one-day "qualifier" is held to determine eligibility for, and seeding within the subsequent Match Play tournament. Contestants posting the lowest 32 net scores in the "qualifier" are assigned positions within the Match Play bracket.
Participants posting the 16 lowest net scores are seeded. Accordingly, in the first round of the tournament, the qualifier with the lowest net score will play the qualifier with the highest net score, etc., etc.
Prizes: Prizes are awarded to the winner and runner up. Losers in the semi-final round play off for third and fourth place prizes.
